This breeding project aimed to produce an open-pollinated zucchini that rivals hybrid varieties in terms of yield, drought resistance, and uniformity.
GROWING CONDITIONS AND CARE
To grow Dark Star Zucchini, seeds should be sown in well-draining soil with full sun exposure. Direct sowing is recommended after the last frost, with optimal soil temperatures between 70°F and 85°F.
