COAL PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Exxaro mine coal from large open-pit operations located in established coalfields with abundant reserves, producing several product types including thermal coal, semi-soft coking coal and metallurgical coal.
We deliver coal suited for electricity generation, steelmaking and heavy industrial applications with assured heating value, ash content and chemical properties.
We sell coal in bulk quantities and on a wholesale basis, for sale to domestic power utilities, export markets and metallurgical industries.
EXXARO OPERATIONS AND ASSETS
We operate multiple mines in regions known for significant coal deposits.
One of our major mines produces more than twenty-six million tonnes per annum of final coal product.
We maintain stable supply agreements with power stations that require regular deliveries of thermal coal.
We also supply semi-soft coking coal and metallurgical coal for steel producers both domestically and abroad.
PRODUCT QUALITY AND LOGISTICS
We ensure consistent quality through careful resource classification, seam selection and beneficiation processes.
We handle logistics from mine to customer, utilising rail, conveyor and port infrastructure to manage export shipments and domestic deliveries.
We monitor product parameters such as ash, sulfur and moisture to meet buyer specifications.
